Thoroughly enjoyed the day it was an awesome experience, exhibiting suppliers were knowledgeable and I wish all our teams from the Post had their own individual reps to come and absorb all that great package under Convene's roof to help them in our future events.  I couldn't thank you enough for the great organisation of the event, providing such an awsome exposure of event products and services, we went away on a great buzz of knowledge and best of all it was for free.

2010 Buyers' Feedback

Thank you so much for hosting me to such a fabulous event – it was incredible to see so many smaller suppliers that can provide so much to the industry that I didn't even know about.  I thought the seminars were incredibly valuable and could have spent all day in the entertainer’s room as it was such an amazing opportunity to hear such a wide range of talent – it can be so hard to find the right match for the right client.

The famil day looking at the South of Auckland was very well planned and balanced and provided Dinamics with an excellent knowledge of the venues situated closer to the airport. Auckland is our gate way to New Zealand for so many of our International programmes and pre/post touring and we could not mange these programmes without the City of Sails providing such a wonderful contrast to our programmes in Queenstown.

Thank you all so much for hosting Lucy and myself to Convene over the past two days.  Brilliant job by you guys as always, great organising and all ran so nicely on the day.  I had quite a few comments from buyers and exhibitors alike during the day, about how “nice” Convene feels compared with some of the other mainstream or larger trade events. It is such a nicer and relaxed feel, yet still so professional … it has a friendlier vibe and everyone on both courts is so much more seemingly relaxed which makes the discussions and business so much easier, and relationship building that much more positive and easy.  Great new stuff I found this year – from the few different hats I was “shopping" for. For event and conference venues and product/vendors – as well as some great things for RWC hosting and client functions for some of our key and VIP groups coming over.

Thank you so much for hosting me over the past few days in Auckland, it was a fantastic experience! I absolutely loved the ‘Adventure’ famil, I can’t believe I hadn’t experienced any of those activities before. I specifically loved sailing on the America’s Cup Yacht, was such an exciting and fun experience and the crew were great!  Convene yesterday was a fantastic showcase of SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre, and all of the exhibitors that I met and talked to. I got so much out of the experience, learning a lot, and making some great contact!  Quay West Suites were fabulous hosts, with all the Mirvac staff being so supportive, knowledgeable and hospitable. Was such a pleasure to be hosted by them!

I really just wanted to say a very big thank you to all of the wonderful staff for all of the fabulous work you did this year in organising another successful Convene.  It was great and again I got some very useful information.  It was fantastic having the Northland and Matakana Coast regional stands this year - great to see and again got some really good information on these areas.  I know you have done a lot of work behind the scenes (that we never see) and I just wanted to say thank you for all of the effort in making this a fantastic event.

2010 Exhibitors' Feedback

I can’t say enough about how well (once again) Convene Auckland was run.  From a sponsor perspective, the exposure I had at the event was exceptional, and the business I have waiting on my phone is just amazing – I’ve never had as many solid, hot, ready to buy leads from any other show (even last year’s show –which was again an exceptional show!)

Convene Auckland has become a must-attend event for ASB Showgrounds. We first experienced Convene Auckland in 2009, it was a good experience for us and we were impressed enough to return. Convene Auckland 2010 was incredibly successful for us, resulting in qualified sales from our stand at the event. This is practically unheard of, given prospective customers have so much choice and will usually come to us weeks or months after an event like this. Our primary goal at Convene Auckland 2010 was to showcase our new $31m redevelopment to a captive audience of quality buyers. We were not disappointed. Convene Auckland exceeded our expectations in every way. A big thank you to the Convene Auckland team for putting on such a great and rewarding show. See you next year!
